Streamline the Notebook list and free up space #3566

On iOS, when looking at the side bar with the list of our notebooks, the area reserved for "important" buttons takes a lot of space, leaving very little for the list of our notebooks.

Here are some ideas:

  1. The Sync Status area have quite a bit of verbage which are not super useful/meaningful for the average non-tech-expert user.
    1. Could reduce it to just the Sync button (spinning or not) and a percentage number
    2. Reduce the "Completed: 2020-07-26" to simply "2m ago"
    3. Tapping the Sync button would still trigger a manual sync.
  2. Move the "Configuration" menu item to a simple gear icon, without text (because it's a universal and well known icon). Place it next to the (now much smaller) Sync button.
  3. Reduce the "New Notebook" menu item to just an icon showing a folder with a + on it. No text required. This button could be moved next to All Notes or next to the now reduced Config button (from the previous idea)
  4. You could do the same with the Tags menu item. While the icon for tags is less universally known or obvious, the Tag feature in general is more of a power-user feature. Those users will known already what type of icon to look for.

Doing all that liberates quite a bit of space to display more Notebooks in the list.

Apologize for the crude mockup. I don't have access to my regular tools at the moment.
