I'd definitely be interested; I've spent a little time thinking about it but it's not been a priority (since, in fusion, almost everything is either polycrystalline or gets amorphized pretty quickly anyway). I do think it could be within scope if it can be made at a similar level of user-configurability and generality as the current code - in contrast to, for example, IMSIL, which is a BCA code that includes crystalline targets but as far as I know it only works for silicon. I think the main technical obstacle - which is not huge - is that |

Is there any interest in scoping out and adding crystalline targets? My main use case for BCA is semiconductor ion implantation, where channeling and amorphization can be relevant.
I am happy to take a stab at it, but if people think this is not within scope, I will do it on a fork. I think this would mostly involve adding module to handle collisions within a crystal lattice (Crystal-TRIM style), with many benchmarks.
Other open-source work: The only example of open-source BCA mentioning it I have seen is this small project.
