What's new

Parallelism support — three config knobs control concurrent execution:

Knob Config location Default Effect
max_workers [roles.extract] 4 Parallel extraction windows via ThreadPoolExecutor
max_explorers [roles.explorer] 4 Concurrent async explorer subagent calls per turn
parallel_pipelines [server] true Extract + summarize in same tool turn
  • Async explore tool: changed from sync run_sync() to async await agent.run() for true concurrent dispatch via PydanticAI asyncio.create_task.
  • Adaptive prompts: sync and maintain prompts emit parallel or sequential instructions based on config. Set knobs to 1/false for local models (Ollama/MLX).
  • Removed unused max_workers from [roles.summarize] — summarization refine/fold is inherently sequential.
