Please wait with the actual removal of the --line-numbers=TYPE
until firebug has been updated to support sourcemaps. As far as i can see this is part of the v2 development of firebug.

Yes the firefox internal tooling supports source maps, but its not as good as firbug imho. So until firebug is updated --line-numbers=mediaquery is required in combination with the fireless plugin.

Okay good to know its still needed. Will keep this around till we make a
note that this is the dependency stopping deprecation.
