Enable word diff in gitsigns.preview_hunk() ?

Is it possible to have a word-diff in the preview window of require('gitsigns').preview_hunk() / :Gitsigns preview_hunk ? So far, the only configuration options I've come across are to toggle a word-diff on the whole buffer.
