v0.2.7
Maps & navigation
- Open in Fullscreen - Embeds now have an option to open the app in fullscreen when you need more room.
- Improved how Kinex takes the display back when embedding Waze or Tmap, so those apps are less likely to stay fullscreen instead of returning to the embed.
Vehicle view & models
- 3D model performance - Smoother framerates when viewing the vehicle model. Try the "Medium" detail setting for the best balance—it looks almost the same as "High" with better performance.
- Trunk control - Open and close the trunk from a dedicated floating button next to "Open/close all windows" instead of on the 3D model.
- Halo layout - Smoother panel dragging and a more comfortable drag handle width along the edges.
Settings
- Background embeds - New option to keep an embedded app running in the background when you hide its pane in Halo layout, instead of Kinex closing it.
- Blindspot cameras - Flip the feed horizontally and set rotation per camera.
- Immersive mode - You can hide the car's status bar while keeping the Kinex navigation bar visible. The immersive mode settings screen has been reorganized to be easier to follow.
Fixes
- Fixed a rare issue where Kinex could stop responding to gear changes (for example, moving from Park to Drive).
- Maps and embeds are more reliable after a power cycle, including black screens, unresponsive touch when immersive mode is on, and embeds stuck on "Preparing...".
- Immersive mode now stays enabled after you reboot the car.
