message_short might not work with newer versions of libgit2

Since the message_short method uses git_commit_message_short from libgit2, and I can't really find this function in libgit2[1], maybe it needs to be checked, if it hasn't been already...

Doesn't look like git_commit_message_short is being used anymore. Closing for now.
