Performance Regression Opening BigTIFF/Pyramidal Images in vipsdisp v4.1

Hi,
I've noticed a significant difference in performance when opening BigTIFF and pyramidal images of approximately 100,000 × 100,000 pixels using two different versions of vipsdisp (v3.1 vs v4.1).
With version 3.1, the image opens instantly, allowing for immediate zooming without any lag. However, in version 4.1, the same image initially displays a chessboard pattern, and the tiles gradually load one by one. Although performance improves once the tiles are fully loaded, the initial loading time can exceed five seconds for a 100kx100k image—and takes even longer with larger files.

I think all the large pyramidal TIFFs I have still open instantly. Do you have a sample file that's become slow?

In case it matters, what platform is this, which binary of vipsdisp is it, etc.
