request: fine tune concepts for "booking" and "transports" (booking vs activity) and "place" vs "visit"

A couple of items combined that often leave me switching between tabs, and "misusing" the app.
As a result I feel like I have to change my workflow, instead of it intuitively working for me.
I realize everyone is different, so interested in your views!

combine transports + bookings

The separation between "booking" and "transports" feels somewhat artificial and confusing.
I often find myself switching too often between the tabs: plan, transports and book.

To me e.g. flight and rental cars are bookings, just like an accommodation, restaurant or event.
I could use the filters to select the type(s) I am interested in. Fine if the filters are grouped in e.g. transport, stay, do.
Related: would be great if I can get a built in table view of my bookings, similar to (and without having to install) the Reservations plugin.

And then there's public transport that I can add in the plan tab.

And when sharing my trip I can enable "bookings" which includes the bookings and the transports.

Often I want to specify we're using our own (or rental) car to drive from A to B on a certain date + time.
It feels overkill to add it in the transports (or booking) section, and the place tab has routing functionality but that's too hidden.
In the transport section, "pickup" and "return" are not the right terms.

My instinct is to look in the plan tab to add it as an activity.
The current functionality is too limited: add place A and B in the plan, and click on route button to calculate or show. Without the option to specify departure time and without it showing up in my subscription calendar or the plan (unless I click on it).

clearer separation between Place and Visit

Related, I feel it helps to have a clearer separation between "place" and "visit", so that multiple visits to a place can have separate details for each visit while sharing the place. E.g. I add a supermarket place on day 1 and 3. When I press edit I see all the place metadata and visit metadata (start, end) mixed.

I was using this integration in 3.x which made the whole reservation portion much cleaner. I would personally prefer if the booking/trips just combined.
