Add Cable Car / Gondola as a travel mode

Problem / Use case

I would like to select Cable Car / Gondola as the travel mode for an individual leg of a trip.

For example, a day plan might involve walking to a cable car station, taking the cable car to the top, and then continuing on foot. Representing the cable car segment as walking or driving would not reflect the intended journey and could result in misleading routes or travel-time estimates.

Proposed solution

Add Cable Car / Gondola as a selectable travel mode between two stops.

Ideally, this would:

• Display a dedicated cable car icon and label for that segment in the itinerary.
• Allow users to enter the ride duration manually when an estimate is unavailable, and use that duration in the day plan.
• Show a connection between the departure and arrival stations on the map without falling back to a walking or driving route. A straight line would be sufficient when the actual cable car route is unavailable.

Example itinerary

Hotel → walk to the lower station → cable car to the upper station → walk to a viewpoint.

Each segment should retain its own travel mode and duration.

Initial scope

A first version with manual mode selection and duration entry would already be useful. Automatic route discovery and timetable integration would not need to be part of the initial implementation.

The main goal is to represent cable car segments clearly and plan mixed-mode itineraries more accurately.
