Sound Control is a client-side Fabric utility mod that gives you complete, granular control over every single sound in Minecraft.
Tired of a specific mob being too loud? Want to mute nether portal noises but keep ambient sounds? Need to figure out what is making that annoying noise near your base? This mod has you covered.
- 🎚️ Individual Volume Control: Adjust the volume or completely mute any specific sound in the game independently.
- ⭐ Favorites System: Pin your most frequently tweaked sounds to the top of the list for quick and easy access.
- 🔍 Smart Search & Filters: Quickly find the exact sound you are looking for using the built-in search bar, or filter by categories (Mobs, Blocks, All, Edited, Favorites).
- 👀 Live Sound Tracker: Toggle an on-screen overlay to see exactly which sound IDs are currently playing around you in real-time. Perfect for identifying unknown or annoying noises!
- 🌍 Client-Side Only: You can use this mod on any vanilla or modded server. It doesn't need to be installed on the server to work.
- 🌐 Fully Localized: Supports 12+ languages thanks to community contributions!
V- Open the main Sound Control GUI (can be changed in standard Minecraft controls).Y- Toggle the Live Sound Tracker overlay on/off.- In the menu, simply click the Play (▶) button to preview a sound, the Mute button to silence it, or the Star (★) to add it to your Favorites.
- Install the Fabric Loader.
- Download the Fabric API and place it in your
modsfolder. - Download the latest version of Sound Control from the Releases tab (or CurseForge/Modrinth) and place it in your
modsfolder. - Launch the game!
