VideoFree Studio 2.0.0 Release Notes
This is a major release for VideoFree Studio. The platform has moved to a plugin-based architecture: model capabilities, generation modes, post-processing, and application features are declared and delivered by plugins, while the framework handles discovery, scheduling, and shared interfaces. New models and features can now be added primarily through plugins, reducing the need to modify the framework core.
Plugins are more than a way to connect models; they make creative workflows easier to extend and combine. Creators can use different models through a unified interface without having to work directly with complex ComfyUI graphs. External AI agents can also invoke registered capabilities through the platform’s API and MCP interfaces.
This release also continues to improve project management, creative archives, video editing workflows, plugin UI, localization, and system extension services. VideoFree Studio is evolving from a media generation tool into an extensible local AI creation platform.
