Missing french translations in Preferences - Preferred applications. These translations existed in previous Linux Mint versions but they disappeared.

Steps to reproduce

Open Linux menu Preferences - Preferred applications. Click on button Other medias.

Expected behavior

DVD audio instead of Audio DVD

Disque Blu-ray vierge instead of Blank Blu-ray disc

CD vierge instead of Blank CD disc

DVD vierge instead of Blank DVD disc

HD DVD vierge instead of Blank HD DVD disc

Liseuse instead of E-Book reader

CD Image instead of CD Picture? (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picture_CD)

Mises à jour logicielles OSTree instead of mises à jour logicielles OSTree

Logiciel instead of Software

Disque Blu-ray instead of disque vidéo Blu-Ray

HD DVD instead of disque vidéo HD DVD

Logiciel Windows instead of logiciel Windows

Looking at the code, all of those string should be available for translations. They are not handled here though. Though are handled on Launchpad https://translations.launchpad.net/linuxmint/latest/

You could check to see if they are available and add the proper translations for them.

It appears that the source string begins with “blank” instead of “Blank,” which explains why the translation does not appear.
