Fail to load svg icons from pixmaps folder since 6.6.x

As you can see, the new application menu fails to load .svg icons. Maybe a new dependency is needed?

EDIT: it fails to load .svg (and maybe other formats) when they're in /usr/share/pixmaps. If they're present in /usr/share/icons/hicolor they load just fine.

Tested on PorteuX 2.5 dev
All Cinnamon projects build in their latest version from Github.

Thanks for the feedback. After digging a bit further I found out that it fails to load .svg (and maybe other formats) when they're in /usr/share/pixmaps. If they're present in /usr/share/icons/hicolor they load just fine.

No apps use the pixmap directory for svg desktop file icons in fedora.

Sorry, no. This was working in the previous Cinnamon application menu and now it's broken.

Also, I just confirmed that png files also fail to load. So it's a matter of looking inside pixmaps folders as well.

If I copy the SVG to /usr/share/hicolor/48x48/apps/ and restart Cinnamon Menu, the icon is loaded perfectly.

This is not limited to this specific application, and it's not limited to SVG but also PNG.

I just tried the latest 6.6.1 but nothing has changed in this regard.

gdmap app (AUR) is also missing it's icon (.png) which is only placed in usr/share/pixmaps.

Edit: .desktop file refers to icon name: Icon=gdmap_icon

Can you reproduce this with just a Gtk.Image().set_from_icon_name()?

Because this .desktop doesn't refer to a filename, but an icon name, and I don't know if Gtk.Image is supposed to check in /usr/share/pixmaps.
