Bug description
Hi everyone, I just upgraded from 22.2 to 22.3 today and encountered a problem on Cinnamon 6.6.4.
After upgrading, I lost keyboard layout settings (English dvorak and Thai Pattachote) on my account's desktop and I reconfigured them successfully.
But I still cannot use keyboard shortcuts with the newly added layout. The shortcuts still stick to English QWERTY. ex: When I am at English Dvorak layout, Ctrl-Alt-T (Dvorak "T" is physical "K" on QWERTY) does not launch Terminal window but Ctrl-Alt-Y (Dvorak "Y" is physical "T" on QWERTY) opens terminal.
I tried with custom shortcuts, different accounts even creating the new account and still have the same issues on all of them.
This issue is new after I upgraded and it never occurred to me before.
Steps to reproduce
Add and change keyboard layouts to English dvorak, remove English US layout
Expected behavior
still cannot use keyboard shortcuts with the newly added layout. ex:
- When at US Dvorak layout Ctrl-Alt-T (Dvorak "T" is physical "K" on QWERTY) does not launch Terminal window but
- Ctrl-Alt-Y (Dvorak "Y" is physical "T" on QWERTY) opens terminal.
Additional information
- tried with different accounts even creating the new account and still have the same issues on all of them.
- all shortcuts in Menu -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts are affected (Super-E for file browser, Super-D for toggle show desktop, Super-S for toggle show desklets and newly added custom shortcuts)
- but others, for examples: Ctrl-C for copy, Ctrl-V for paste still follow keyboard layout.
