Cinnamon menu opens or closes with win(meta)+ space shortcut on specific scenarios

Hi there. I use the win+space shortcut to change my keyboard language. When I try to get root permissions for GUI apps using polkit, I can't change the language without opening the Cinnamon menu. This leads to the focus changing and typing a password inside the menu search. The same thing happens without Polkit, but if the menu is already open, changing the language closes the menu.

Steps to reproduce

1. Execute polkit dialog
2. Change layout with win(meta)+space shortcut.

OR

1. Open Cinnamon menu
2. Change layout with win(meta)+space shortcut.

Expected behavior

win(meta)+space shortcut don't open cinnamon menu.

The Win key is already assigned to the menu, either reassign it or choose another key for layout.

But menu doesn't open in other conditions with same shortcut. Isn't it inconsistent?
