Current PKGBUILD for cinnamon-git is WRONG!! Don't use it!!!

The problem is muffin hasen't been ported to gnome 3.4 and cinnamon was. PKGBUILD for cinnamon-git then patches cinnamon to let it build with old muffin but the patch is just wrong.

Please file this bug at Arch if you find the packages in their repository are faulty. As far as I know it works fine on other Gnome 3.4 distros.

Okay, I found the cause of the bug. Cinnamon was updated to use GSettings/dconf instead of GConf to store muffin's settings (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=663429), but muffin was not updated. Muffin is still using GConf, causing the build to fail.

The error occurs because, as described above

I have 2 trobles,
1st) http://akulikov.org.ua/img/2012_05_08_01_30_11.png this happens after restart Cinnamon (or ++"r")
2nd) menu text "Menu" shows like "Me..."

maybe this (1st) problem in muffin?

@akulikov: I think both problems are in Cinnamon.

1. If you do ++"r" and then run "muffin --replace" in the terminal, you see that there's no problem anymore. If you run "cinnamon --replace", the problem comes back. I think this is an upstream bug.

2. I can't seem to reproduce this. Have you tried removing the menu from the panel and then adding it again?

2nd this like issue #523 , i have clean install arch with gnome 3.4 + muffin-git + cinnamon-git
When open some window - proble disappears ( problem in width of label ).

width:50px; - not fix issue, it breaks all other labels

i tried do ( #523 (comment) ):

• Tried max-width and min-width

but it breaks all other labels too

This problem in gnome packages. Arch uses newer packages than in Mint or in Ubuntu
For example:

$ gnome-shell - version
GNOME Shell 3.4.1

$ mutter - version
metacity 3.4.1

etc.

@angel-kulikov Ubuntu 12.04 has Gnome 3.4 as well. Cinnamon/Muffin works fine there (latest git, or the packages from the PPA)
