Geospatial engineer based in the browser and the terminal. I spend most of my time wrangling location data into maps, APIs, and command-line tools that actually do something useful.
- Python — spatial analysis, data pipelines, FastAPI
- JavaScript — web maps, mostly Leaflet and a bit of MapLibre
- Shell — glue scripts, automation, the usual
- Tools I reach for often: GDAL, PostGIS, QGIS, Docker
- A CLI tool for batch-converting and reprojecting geospatial files (basically scratching my own itch)
- Experimenting with serving vector tiles without a heavy backend
I like the intersection of geo and the open web — the idea that a decent map can make data actually legible to people. Most of my side projects start as "this should be a five-minute script" and end up taking a weekend.
Feel free to open an issue, send a PR, or reach out if you're working on something geo-related and want to compare notes.
