LiveKit not compatible with GA of Azure GPT Realtime 1.5

Using latest ones:

livekit-agents[openai,mcp,elevenlabs,silero]>=1.5.1
openai>=2.30.0

LiveKit cannot connect to GA version (so not preview which is already deprecated) with Azure GPT Realtime 1.5. LiveKit receives redirect from websocket instead of connection estabilished response.

I'm also interested in this! Looks like preview version will be retired by the end of the month. Here's the mail I received from Azure.

Transition Azure OpenAI GPT Realtime API Preview to GA version by 30 April 2026

You’re receiving this notification because you’re associated with one or more Azure subscriptions that use an Azure OpenAI GPT Realtime API Preview version.

On 30 April 2026, we will be retiring preview API versions [2024-10-01-preview, 2025-04-01-preview]. After that date, these APIs will no longer work.

Required action

To avoid service disruptions, migrate [https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/ai-foundry/openai/how-to/realtime-audio-preview-api-migration-guide] to GA API version by 30 April 2026.

These API versions are being retired to comply with Azure’s Versioning Policy. Latest API versions may provide improved features.
