Accumulating file uploads

[jdltechworks]

Livewire is awesome!

When I used the multiple uploader.

Steps:

1. Open the upload window then upload.
2. Open again the upload window then upload again. I lost step 1 in the process.

I'm expecting to still see the previously uploaded file. It lost the previous state. So I hacked?

<?php

namespace App\Traits;

use Livewire\WithFileUploads;
/**
 * With previously uploaded files
 */
trait Uploadable
{
    use WithFileUploads;
    public $photos = [];
    public $gallery = [];
    // Accumulating file upload
    public function updatedPhotos($photos)
    {

        foreach($photos as $photo) {
            array_push($this->gallery, $photo);
        }
       // cleanup since I already transferred it to the gallery.
        $this->photos = [];

    }

    public function removeFromGallery($index) {
        $image = $this->gallery[$index];
        $this->removeUpload('gallery', $image->getFilename());
    }
}

Upload and clean up the temp folder

        foreach ($this->gallery as $image) {
            $mime_type = $image->getMimeType();
            $size = $image->getSize();
            $filename = $image->storePublicly('gallery', 'public');
            $this->removeUpload('gallery', $image->getFilename());
        }

Is there a legal way to still get the previously uploaded files?
