I'm hitting this assert as well. I'll provide an LLVM IR testcase.

Here's the testcase. I believe LLVM chokes on line 59, where value %40 is used before it's defined.

Never mind, I'm hitting this assert due to a wrongly customized optimization pass. I should have done some simple testing before reopening this. Sorry for the trouble.
