Hi Daniel,

We are late in the release process, but I wanted to get your input on how critical this fix is and whether or not it should be included in the 5.0.1 release.

This is safe to merge, but there are other issues that need to be merged as well.
I'm not sure this fix alone is worth picking, FWIW.

Unless somebody requested this very fix to be merged, in which case, you can probably go for it :)

I requested it so that Zig project can build against on LLVM 5.0.1 with assertions enabled. If it's risky, I'm OK with waiting until llvm6 is released.
