In order to link a Customer party type to a cashout journal entry, we need to configure the Cashout account as a Receivable. Based on my current understanding, this works from an accounting perspective because a credit is still being created. This account can then be used when we implement "top-up".
The only down-side I see so far is this account will display/filter with Receivables in the erpnext reports, but I don't think it will be a significant challenge to create reports for cashout
