#33 calls for localised dates support but was closed without a corresponding feature request, so I'm making it here in the hope that somebody in the community is interested in contributing the code. I'd love to do it but I don't have the skills.
The ISO 8601 international standard defines a YYYY-MM-DD big endian format. Most countries follow that, or a little endian DD/MM/YY format, with some variation over separators and 2 or 4 digit years.
It would be ideal if the format could be picked up automatically from the OS regional settings. If not, the UI ought to make it easy to switch.
Without this, Expandroid remains difficult for the vast majority of the world's population to use, limiting its uptake.
