What Happened?

Random duplicate text appears anywhere without an apparent pattern.
This behaviour started a couple of months back.
I'm using the Sync and "smart merge" features.

I do experience this behaviour with Smart Merge enabled as well. @eduardoi has also reported this issue in the forums and it is gathering more information than here.

I am still looking at the specifics of how to reproduce this issue but I have not been able to do so reliably. Some things to explore:

• It happens when the page exists on both devices, smart merge is enabled on both
• The problem typically happens when I edit the block on Logseq Windows (0.9.18) and then sync on Android with a matching Logseq version. It was happening in 0.9.17 and I believe it was also happening in 0.9.15.
• It happens on both Pages and Journals
• It happens again if a 3rd device does a sync. In other words, once I fix (remove) the duplicated block and let the sync happen, the page will be as expected on both the computer and the Android phone. If I open Logseq on a tablet and get it to sync, it will add the duplicated block again.

Theories that I have not been able to validate. This is based on observed patterns:

• It seems to happen more often with old pages (some that have not been accessed in the past month). This is anecdotal as I haven't been able to consistently reproduce the pattern on old files.
• It may be related to the EOL characters in the file

@sctice - I do not think these 2 issues are related. In the case of the current issue, the block itself (not a reference) is duplicated after synchronization on multiple devices. Reindexing the graph in the context of this issue does not duplicate any block.
