DEIMS Profile builds with these updates on a humble old PC running Ubuntu 14.04 server and a LAMP supped up with Percona 5.5.

at config, warnings continue till it fails inexorably.

DS may have a problem with PHP 5.5., but not with 5.3. (untested with php 5.4)
the thing does not seem to configure and build well.

search-api-db 1.3 does not throw warnings, but 1.4 and 1.5 thrown the notices above at build. they may not be a big deal, but those would be distracting.

need to see about version of DS compat with 5.5

Most of these issues were due to insufficient RAM. 2.5Gb seems threshold for builds with php5.5.
