Suggestion: prefer VS Code Copilot native context compression over extension-side history trim

Hi team,

I’d like to suggest that this extension avoid doing history trimming in the extension layer and instead rely on VS Code Copilot’s native context compression.

I think this is preferable for a few reasons:

• extension-side history trim is effectively silent and not directly visible to users
• it may remove important context without evaluating message relevance
• it can cause unnecessary cache invalidation, which is especially costly for cache-efficient models like DeepSeek V4.1 Flash
• VS Code Copilot’s built-in compression already feels usable enough that the extension does not need to manage context size itself
  I’m not suggesting a strict requirement here—just a design preference worth considering.
