The data on the compute servers IS NOT BACKED UP. To solve this, we have 2 solutions:

  1. We have a RAID on Debussy (NAS on rachmaninoff.gel.ulaval.ca, see /home/debussy). This should be used to backup large datasets and docker images.

  2. We have the lab-wise file server chicago (accessible through the machine pika.gel.ulaval.ca). This should be used to backup your day-to-day research data and/or results. For security reasons, it is not mounted on the compute servers. You can use a crontab/rsync script that would periodically upload your most sensitive data to your home folder on pika.gel.ulaval.ca.
