TokenBar v1.2.7

A fix for a Windows crash, on top of v1.2.6.

Fixed

  • Windows: the app no longer closes itself when you open an account (for example by clicking the Codex card) or close a dialog. The crash is a bug in Flutter's Windows engine: once any accessibility client is attached (a screen reader, an input method or another tool that inspects windows) and a page is opened or closed, the engine dereferences an empty pointer and the process dies. The upstream bug (flutter/flutter#175041) is still open and is present in the newest Flutter (3.47.9), so TokenBar now stops publishing its accessibility tree on Windows.
  • Built with Flutter 3.47.9 (was 3.47.7).

Notes

  • Windows no longer supports screen readers until the Flutter bug is fixed. Other platforms are unchanged.
  • The fix was checked by automated tests and by clicking through the app on Windows; the crash itself needs an accessibility client and could not be reproduced here, so please report it in the issue tracker if it still happens on your machine.
  • Everything from v1.2.6 is included: the Android blur fixes (no more vanishing card blur while pulling to refresh or opening a page), in-app updates, the memory and window-resize fixes, and the custom background. See the v1.2.6 notes.
  • To update an installed v1.2.6, use Settings > About > Check for updates > Update now once this release is published.

Verify a download with SHA256SUMS.txt. Android APKs are signed with the
TokenBar release key (certificate SHA-256 c04373ec39a24dd04d6f6797ed984be27d172c01fc30833f957845bb5b622d27).

Platform notes

  • Windows installers are not code-signed: SmartScreen may warn; choose
    More info > Run anyway. The installer is per-user by default (no admin rights).
  • macOS: if the first launch is blocked, right-click the app in
    Applications and choose Open, or run
    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/TokenBar.app.
  • iOS has no Apple signature. It cannot be installed as is: re-sign and
    sideload it with your own Apple ID (AltStore, Sideloadly, ...).
  • Linux (x64 and ARM64), iOS and Windows on ARM builds are built by CI but
    have not been tested on real devices yet.     Please report problems in the issue tracker.
