1.8.1 — 2026-06-03

Stabilization patch from the first /release-harden run (3-tier canary-verified). 7 commits, all fixes.

Fixed

  • Env-pinned managed instances no longer persist a stray provider/endpoint change. A PUT /api/config of provider/api_base_url/openai_model_id was stored (masked at runtime by the env-pin) and surfaced the wrong provider + data-residency in LLM Settings and /api/export — e.g. an EU-Mistral tenant showing "Anthropic / US". Those env-controlled fields are now stripped from the persisted update when LYNOX_LLM_PROVIDER is set. (#650, H-001)
  • OpenAI-compatible provider save now surfaces the server's validation error (e.g. "provider:'openai' requires openai_model_id") instead of failing silently and looking like a no-op. (#650, H-007)
  • Workspace access-token reveal fixed — it called a non-existent route (/api/access-token → 404); now uses GET /api/auth/token?reveal=true (mirrors the vault-key reveal). (#650, H-012)
  • Tier-rename copy cleanup: dropped the stale "magistral" tier-claim from provider help-copy + first-run pickers, made the keyless empty-state key-hint provider-agnostic, and canonicalized the /api/config managed field (starter→hosted). (#648)
