• Supported languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian Bokmål, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek, Turkish, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Catalan, Basque, Galician, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Hindi, Swahili, Afrikaans. Falls back to English for unsupported locales.

Tab Bar

Tab Bar adds a persistent tab bar to LibreOffice Writer. Every open Writer document gets a tab; click to switch instantly.

Tab features
The active document is marked with a ● prefix. Unsaved documents show a * suffix so you always know what needs saving. Each tab has a ▾ dropdown with: Rename (renames the file on disk), Save, Save As, Move Left / Move Right, New Document, Close, Close All Others, and Close All. A Refresh Tab Bar button re-initialises the bar if tabs ever fall out of sync.

Saved Tab Sets
Save your current group of open documents as a named set and restore them all in one click. Manage multiple sets, rename or delete them, and restore your last session automatically after a restart.

Keyboard navigation
Optional Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab cycling between tabs, toggled from the Sets menu. Off by default so it does not conflict with desktop or system shortcuts.

Clean install and uninstall
No toolbar remnants are left behind when the extension is removed. Three complementary mechanisms (extension manager listener, terminate listener, and LayoutManager cleanup) ensure a clean state on every restart.

Cross-platform
Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Configuration is stored in the standard platform config directory for each OS.
