VaultPeer Desktop v1.0.0

First public release of VaultPeer Desktop — the Windows node for VaultPeer, an open-source, privacy-first password manager built on standard KDBX files (KeePass / KeePassXC compatible).

Store credentials locally, unlock with your master password or Windows Hello, and sync the encrypted vault with other VaultPeer nodes over WebRTC. No cloud vault. No telemetry.

Both installers are equivalent builds. Pick one.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • WebView2 — included on most systems; the installer will prompt you if it is missing

Quick start

  1. Install using the MSI or EXE above.
  2. Launch VaultPeer and create or open a .kdbx database.
  3. Unlock with your master password (optional key file or Windows Hello).
  4. To sync: Settings → Sync → enter your Phonebook URL and room ID, then connect other nodes with the same vault filename.
