Alternative to superuser?

This programm seems to be written by idiots.
Reading the source makes me crying.
Is there an *secure* alternative to this tool?

Create your own, if you don't like it.
It works very well, and if you think the developer is an idiot by building it 
that way, please make your own. I'd be glad to try it and cry with your source 
:)
