Welcome, beta testers! If you found WUDup through Reddit, this is the best place to ask setup questions, share feedback, and get help before opening an issue.

• What you are trying to do
• Your deployment method: WebUI container, hardened WebUI, command runner, host install, or source checkout
• Your WUDup version or image tag
• What you tried and what happened
• Relevant environment details, such as OS, architecture, Docker, Docker Compose, WUD, or TrueNAS versions

Think you found a bug?

First, update to the latest release available to you, check whether the behavior is reproducible, and search existing issues. If it still looks like a bug, open the guided Bug Report form.

A helpful bug report includes:

1. Current and expected behavior
2. Minimal steps to reproduce the problem
3. Deployment method, WUDup version or image tag, host architecture, and relevant environment versions
4. Relevant redacted configuration
5. Focused logs or command output from the failing attempt

Useful diagnostics can include:

• WebUI: results from the Doctor page and the relevant History run details or log
• Docker Compose: docker compose logs --tail=200 wudup
• Container deployment check: docker compose run --rm wudup doctor using the same env file and Compose file as your deployment
• Host or command-runner flow: output from updates --dry-run, docker-update-from-wud --dry-run, or the exact failing command

Paste only the relevant section of a log and say when the failure occurred. Redact passwords, API keys, bearer tokens, GitHub tokens, Discord webhooks, WUD credentials, setup claim links, private URLs, IP addresses, usernames, and host-specific paths. Do not upload your .env file, SQLite database, or an unreviewed full configuration.

If the problem may be a security vulnerability, do not post it publicly. Use a private security advisory instead.
