to see how the beautiful, sprawling landscape extends out in front of you, past verdant valleys of vectors and towards distant mathematical mountains. tragically, our human eyes, blinded to the complexity, cry out for the vision of the panoramic views of some fruit fly. to behold the mosaic. but alas, still the compass points one way, a line pointing clearly in the darkness, enough to take one confident step forward , descending down the hillside.
