Looking for contributors to help build MakeAIVisible

AI is becoming one of the most influential forces in young people's lives, but we still have very little independent evidence showing how it is shaping their experiences, decisions, and interactions.

MakeAIVisible is a youth-led, open-source initiative working to close that gap. We are building a privacy-first platform that allows young people to voluntarily contribute their AI conversations for research, while removing personal information and protecting individual users.

The project's goal is to create a secure, transparent foundation for researchers to study how young people are using and experiencing AI at scale. We do not publish identifiable conversations or make claims about individual users. Instead, we aim to support responsible research and give young people, families, educators, and policymakers a clearer understanding of AI's role in everyday life.

We are currently looking for contributors who can help with:

• Frontend development
• Backend development
• Privacy and anonymization
• Research design
• UI/UX
• Documentation
• Community outreach
