Summary

Would be nice that when I create a quick link, it displays the icon of the website that the URL points to.

Why should this be worked on?

To make each link stand out and to be easier to locate the link that I'm looking for

Hi 👋 I’ve just opened a PR that addresses this issue. #6927
It adds dynamic icons to QuickLinks based on the link’s domain (e.g., GitHub, Figma, Notion).
Let me know if any changes or improvements are needed — happy to iterate!

Hi 👋🏻 this is great, definitely an improvement!
I was thinking more of scraping the website and getting the actual icon of the page.
For example, getting the href of the <link rel="icon" ... /> or <link rel="shortcut icon" ... />. And also add a default value just in case.

But love this implementation too!

We plan to scrape information from source sites to display favicons for the links you add. In the meantime, we've merged @khalilzitouni2058 contribution as a temporary solution.
