2nd Live for my old Roborock S50

I just saw that a lot of the parts are sourced from the Roborock S50. I happen to have a broken Roborock S50 in my attic. The only broken part is the charging dock and the battery, as by now it sits there with a flat battery for ~2 years. So I am happy to see I can repurpose a lot of parts from my old Roborock for a new vacuum. So maybe buying a broken S50/S5 for parts helps to reduce the cost even more, for other people.

Hi Deniz,

here is what can be reused from a Roborock S50/S5 for parts

• batter 5200mAh, very common across many Roborock models
• motor assembly for the main brush (easy to purchase retail in the aftermarket)
• LiDAR

As far as other parts, modern vacuums have evolved since Roborock S5 to use roller and rotary mops with extendable arms (to clean under kitchen cabinets), carpet sensors, mop lift, much stronger suction fans and so on.
