Thanks for the write up! I appreciate the interest in this project 🙏 Recently I added the ability to add borders! Agree with you on that. Animations and title bar text will be there eventually but not a priority for now as the functionality is not fully complete (touchscreen support, ability to pin a window on screen, IPC, proper profiling and optimization) -- I value that a bit more, and personally I like a nice touch to things but not when it's very visible. Take the shadows which are there now -- subtle but functional. Like, I can live without window animations as it's pure polish. Titlebar text is more functional but quite a bit of work, for now as fallback SSD is fine. While navigation animations are in place from v0.1.0, because without them it's a bit disorienting when compositor changes your viewport. |

Also sorry for the late reply, I didn't have notifications on for discussions |

Looking forward to optional liquid glass blur and shader per window! |

making this post because i like eyecandy quite a bit...
priorities in eyecandy should be that a desktop achieves the following:
eyecandy can either be a little or quite alot. a sort of spectrum i suppose, now im gonna go list some things i like having in my linux setup...
the capacity to have a border or two (like found in hyprland, niriWM, and similar)
adjust the shadows to be intense, really thin, soft, or invisible.
biggest thing for me after window decors is animations... can't be having a lively linux if i dont have these here. they can even be shaders too.
please share your take on linux eyecandy here, what you think should be involved in making a linux system look good, i'd like to hear what others have to say about this
