Add CONTRIBUTING.md and CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md

First of all, this is a great project! I'm exploring projects for GSoC and am very interested in contributing.

As I was getting ready to contribute, I noticed that the project doesn't yet have a CONTRIBUTING.md or a CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md file. Adding these would be very beneficial for the project's community:

• A CONTRIBUTING.md file would clarify the workflow for new contributors. It could include details on setting up the environment, the branching strategy, how to format commit messages, and the process for submitting a Pull Request. This would make it much easier for people to start helping out.
• A CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md file helps establish a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring that all contributors feel safe and respected.

I would be happy to create and submit a Pull Request for these two files. I can start with standard templates (like the Contributor Covenant for the Code of Conduct) and tailor the contributing guide to the project's current structure.

Please let me know if this is something you'd like me to work on, and if you have any specific guidelines you'd like included.
