Thank you, Yuri, for taking the time to share your experience with Manticore. We especially appreciate your comment that Manticore is the kind of software you can "set up, achieve your goals, and forget about until the next upgrade" — that's one of the highest compliments infrastructure software can receive. Your suggestions around multiple JOINs and more practical documentation examples are also very valuable, and we'll keep them in mind as we continue improving the product. |

I use Manticore Search for full-text search in my projects.
What I like most is the combination of speed and simplicity. The documentation includes practical examples, which makes getting started easier, and whenever I had questions, the community chat was responsive and helpful.
The main feature I’m missing is support for multiple JOINs. I’d also like to see more everyday, real-world examples in the documentation showing how different features can be used in practical applications. Another idea that comes to mind is easier upgrades for non-major releases, although that’s more of a nice-to-have than a requirement.
Overall, my experience has been very positive. Manticore is one of those tools that you install, configure, achieve your goals with, and then hardly think about until it’s time for an upgrade or a new feature. That’s probably one of the best compliments you can give infrastructure software.
I originally started looking at Sphinx because I needed full-text search, and that’s how I discovered Manticore. I also considered Elasticsearch, but Manticore turned out to be a much better fit for my needs.
