Saving files directly to the backend storage

I just installed manyfold and have configured the /models folder to use an NFS share. Its all working but I had an assumption that any stl files I saved to the that directory would automatically appear in manyfold. Even after manually scanning, the new stl's dont appear. Uploading via the web interface works but I was hoping to be able to save directly to a folder.. is this not supported?

It certainly should work. Only thing is it assumes that a "model" is a folder with 3d files in; if you're putting the files all in the root folder of the library, they won't be picked up. Could it be that?

Nope, even with it in a folder it doesnt show..

3 directories, 3 files

I've tried having thumbdrive_housing.stl inside a folder just inside /models and as above inside the @untagged directory. Nothing appears in the UI, even after a full scan.

Hm, ok... could it be a permission thing? Do the copied files have different permissions that Manyfold can't read?

nope, permissions and ownership on all files is the same 😕

yep, all the same. I've given up. Thanks anyway
