I'm scanning negatives using Plustek 135i with vuescan to get RAW .tiffs. Whenever I import into NegPy I need to pully Luma Clip close to -100 (maybe a bit higher in some cases), otherwise i start to loose gradation.
I'm also confused on how should I be editing my negatives to map black/white into output back/white. I see I can control black point/white point in calibration tab but I can also use toe and shoulder to stretch the curves to the extremes. Also, Luma Clip seems to affect contrast similar to ISO grade setting (although as I mentioned, if I'm too aggressive with luma clip i loose gradation).
