Are there step by step instructions for this for HA Core / NO HACS ?

I have a Lightning and would love to set up automations and notifications when I forget to plug the damn thing in to charge.

I am on HA Core, which does not have HACS. I'm not super savvy with this stuff, but can follow directions and figure most things out as I go or know what specific questions to ask anyway. :)

Any help? :)

• Copy all files from custom_components/fordpass/ to custom_components/fordpass/ inside your config Home Assistant directory.
• Restart Home Assistant to install all dependencies

... still following the HACS Install instructions https://hacs.xyz/docs/use/ is IMHO much easier (since this docu/instructions are much better)...

After copying the custom_components, is the end result of that the same as install from hacs? im fine moving files around so that would be the lighter of options if it does work but i have no idea.
