open Dusk.xcodeprojVLCKit is vendored but not committed to git: the Frameworks/MobileVLCKit.xcframework (iOS/iPadOS) and Frameworks/TVVLCKit.xcframework (tvOS) binaries are downloaded on demand. With gh access to the private marvinvr/dusk-vlckit repo you get Dusk's own VLCKit 3.x build with Dolby TrueHD decoding (see ci_scripts/build_vlckit.sh); without it, VideoLAN's stock VLCKit, and TrueHD plays through Plex. After cloning, fetch them (this also refreshes the pinned version):
./ci_scripts/install_vlckit.shThe Dolby Vision 7 → 8.1 converter (Frameworks/DuskDovi.xcframework) is built from the Rust crate in Native/DuskDovi. Install rustup, then:
./ci_scripts/install_dusk_dovi.shCI does both automatically via ci_scripts/ci_post_clone.sh, so no binaries live in the repo.
Dusk is released under the MIT License.
Playback is powered by VLCKit (MobileVLCKit/TVVLCKit), which is licensed separately under the LGPL v2.1.
Dolby Vision profile 7 conversion uses quietvoid's
dolby_vision
crate (libdovi, MIT) and its MIT-licensed (or MIT-dual-licensed) dependencies,
statically linked. Their notices ship in the app as
Dusk/Resources/ThirdPartyNotices.txt.
Dolby and Dolby Vision are trademarks of Dolby Laboratories; Dusk is not
affiliated with or certified by Dolby.
