Pre-releasev1.7.0-beta.7 (build 38) — 2026-06-25

Highlights
- Meet the Channel Mixer — a full mixing desk for the people in your channel. Set each person's voice on its own, place them left or right, mute the distractions, or solo the one voice you want to hear. Built for the keyboard and VoiceOver from the very first line.
What's new
The Channel Mixer. Every user in your channel gets their own strip of controls — voice volume, media volume, stereo placement, mute, and solo. It lives right in the main window, reads cleanly in VoiceOver, and you drive all of it from the keyboard:
- Up / Down — the focused person's voice volume
- ⌘ Up / ⌘ Down — their media volume (or your master output when you're not on a strip)
- Left / Right — move them left or right in the stereo field
- V, P, M, S — press once to hear the current volume, pan, mute, or solo; press twice to reset the volume to halfway, recenter the pan, or toggle mute or solo
Each person's settings are saved and come back the next time they join.
Switch outputs without missing a beat. Changing your headphones or speakers while connected could occasionally freeze the audio. The playback engine has been rebuilt so it never holds the device hostage — switch outputs anytime and the sound simply follows.
Connecting is practically instant. On setups with a lot of audio gear, the first connection used to stall for ten seconds or more while the app looked over every device. That slow scan is gone — you're in almost immediately.
Your devices, remembered for real. The app now identifies each microphone and output by a stable identity, so your choices survive unplugging, replugging, and restarts. No more quietly ending up on the wrong mic.
Worth knowing
This is a deep rewrite of how audio is played back — solid in daily use, but that's exactly what the beta is for. Put it through its paces and tell us how it holds up.
The entire audio release was designed and built by Rocco Fiorentino — thank you, Rocco.
