Hi Matt, and thanks for the grill-me skill.
I built a small open-source skill, karpathy-skills-extended, that sits between two ideas: Karpathy's four coding rules (think before coding, simplicity first, surgical changes, goal-driven execution) and the "if a decision belongs to the user, ask them" part of grill-me.
grill-me is great when an idea is still soft. When the prompt is already a concrete task, a full interview runs long. So this skill adds a short gap check. The agent asks only if all four hold: the user didn't state it, the agent can't find it by reading the repo or docs, more than one plausible answer exists, and the choice would change the result. It then asks one round of at most three questions, each with a recommended default, and otherwise just does the work. If you ask for a full grilling session, it runs one.
It doesn't copy any grill-me text (the NOTICE credits your repo). Install:
