Feature Request: Public Transit Routing

When planning trips, especially in urban areas or across cities, there's currently no way to add public transit connections (bus, train, subway) to itineraries. Users have to look up transit routes externally and manually add the info.

Describe the solution you'd like
Integrate public transit routing into the trip planner, allowing users to search for and add transit connections between destinations.

Key information to display per transit step:

• Departure/arrival times and stops
• Line name, vehicle type (bus, train, subway)
• Operator name
• Total duration and fare (if available)

Suggested data sources

• Google Maps Routes API (travelMode: TRANSIT) — broad global coverage, paid
• Transitland — free up to 1,000 req/day, 55+ countries including Japan
• ODPT (Open Data for Public Transportation) — free, covers Tokyo Metro, Toei, JR East and more with real-time data; great for Japan-focused trips
• OpenTripPlanner — fully self-hostable and open source, fits TREK's self-hosted philosophy; uses publicly available GTFS feeds (e.g. DB, regional operators)

Additional context
Would fit naturally alongside the existing interactive map and budget features. A configurable data source would allow users to pick the provider that fits their region.
