Expose only aliases without provider

I need the following:

1. Create virtual models that are not provider-dependant so that I can have a model "smart" that I can dynamically route to any model by any provider
2. Offer these and only these models to each VK

So far I seem to be able:

1. Create static aliases but these will be on the provider level, so I will have e.g. openrouter/smart whereas I want to have simply smart. Also it seems I need to have the target of the alias listed in the allowed models for the VK, but then also that model will be available
2. Create dynamic rules to achieve point 1 above, which works but then these do not show up in the offered model list and also 2nd sentence of point 1 applies

Is there any other solution available or planned?
