I don't think showing projected account balance trends has any real value. For personal and household finances, future balances are inherently unpredictable. In other words, everyday life is not meant to be predictable. This is not corporate financial data. There are no annual budgets, no scheduled amortization, no business operations, and no KPIs. As a result, there is no reliable basis for forecasting future financial data. |

I disagree with that statement. As far as I’m concerned, a feature like this serves a crucial purpose. I know 80% in advance what payments I’ll be facing in the coming weeks or months. If I know at the beginning of a month what my account balance will be at the end of the month—taking future transactions into account— I can take corrective action if necessary. That means bringing a specific payment forward, postponing it to the following month (if possible), or transferring funds from my savings account. Right now, I use an Excel spreadsheet where I enter the current figures to create a forecast. My plan is to find this feature in an app that also offers additional features and looks good, too ;-) |
Uh oh!

Hi, Is it possible to generate statistics showing how the balance of a specific account changes over the months (future), taking into account future entries that have been recorded (income, expenses, recurring entries)?
I would like to forecast the account balance, taking future transactions into account, so that I can take appropriate action if necessary.
Thank you so much for your help... I'm completely new to this app and still trying to discover it.
